Dozens of Starbucks locations are currently closed across the Bay Area as the ubiquitous coffee chain struggles with staff shortages.

A look at the Starbucks store website shows that many outposts are closed. In San Francisco, locations at Bush and Van Ness, Grant and Bush, Folsom Street Target, Westfield Center and Union Square, to name a few, have closed. Some open sites close earlier than usual, with many post closing times between 5 and 6 pm

krone Some say Starbucks closed for nearly a week. The television station reported that the Walnut Creek store in North Main has been closed since Monday. There is a sign on the door that says, “Sorry for the inconvenience. Our store is temporarily closed.”

Like many companies, Starbucks says it has been affected by a “temporary staff shortage.”

“When a store experiences a temporary staff shortage, we respond by reducing hours to keep in mind that our partners are not overburdened – prioritizing their health and well-being in our decision-making,” the coffee chain wrote in a statement to KRON. “These decisions are made on a store-by-store and market-by-market basis, and our customers can check Starbucks Locator on our website or app for current store opening hours.”

Expected reopening dates aren’t listed in the store locator, so if you’re desperate to know when your local Starbucks will serve up a latte again, you’ll want to obsess Check his site.
