War in Ukraine: A 5-year-old child who lost his parents and sister by Russian saboteurs dies

Date:

A 5-year-old child died in a Ukrainian hospital a few days after his sister and parents were shot dead by Russian troops.

According to quoted reports Sky NewsThe child, named Semion, was traveling in a car with his family when they were attacked as they tried to leave Kiev on Saturday.

The Kiev deputy mayor said a Russian saboteur and spy group had opened fire on a vehicle, killing Semyon’s 10-year-old sister Polina and her parents, Anton Gudrin and Svetlana Zapatinskaya.

Semyon was taken to the Children’s Hospital, but on Wednesday he died of his injuries, a family friend told the Daily Telegraph.

Sofia’s 13-year-old sister is in critical condition at another hospital and her entire family is missing, the newspaper reported.

The first child victim of the war was identified as Polina – Ukraine says more than 2,000 civilians were killed in the massive Russian invasion.

“Why do Russians shoot children and civilians?” A family friend asked in a newspaper. “They want to leave Kiev and stay alive. They were attacked. So they died except for one child who survived,” he continued.

Another family friend who spoke at the same newspaper described the children as “sweet, fun” and “wonderful”. “There is only one woman left, and we will never forgive the death of Russia and the Russians,” she said.
