(CNN) – Face coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated guests indoors and out at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts starting February 17th.
Walt Disney World Resorts’ A new policy posted on its website states that Those not fully vaccinated are expected to continue to wear face coverings at all indoor sites at his parks in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
Face coverings will continue to be requested by all guests age 2 or older in enclosed transit vehicles, including Disney buses, monorails, and skylines.
Disneyland official confirmed to CNN That the resort in Anaheim, California, is also updating its policy as of February 17th, in line with Walt Disney World.
Disney’s change came on the heels of Universal Orlando in Florida, which raised requirements for indoor and outdoor face coverings for fully vaccinated guests on Saturday.
In a statement to CNN, Universal Orlando said non-vaccinated guests are encouraged to wear face coverings indoors.
In California, Universal Hollywood still requires guests to wear face coverings at all times, both indoors and outdoors, regardless of vaccination status under the Los Angeles County face covering mandate.
Per Los Angeles County rules, Universal Hollywood also has a vaccination or negative Covid-19 test requirement for all guests age 5 and older.
