Webb Space Telescope's First Full-Color Images Are Just Weeks Away

NASA has set July 12 as the official release date of the telescope’s first high-quality shots of the cosmos

Webb launched on December 25 and reached L2, a million kilometres from Earth, one month later.

Since then, scientists from NASA, the European Space Agency, and the Canadian Space Agency

The main scientific goals of the telescope are to study how stars and planetary systems form.

"They will give astronomers and the public the "wow" they've been waiting for for a long time."

NASA hasn't said much about what the first colour pictures from Webb will show, but we got a hint last month.
