Elon Musk denied on Twitter late Thursday that he sexually harassed a flight attendant on a private jet in 2016.
Business Insider reported Thursday that Musk's SpaceX paid $250,000 in 2018 to settle a sexual harassment claim from a private jet flight attendant.
A friend of the flight attendant was quoted anonymously. According to the article, the friend provided a statement for the private settlement.
"This liar who claims their friend saw me 'exposed' must describe one thing (scars, tattoos, etc.) that isn't public knowledge. It never happened, so she can't "Tweeted Musk.
Reuters asked Musk and SpaceX about the Business Insider story and Musk's tweets.
Musk allegedly exposed himself and rubbed the flight attendant's thigh during an in-flight massage, according to a friend of the flight attendant.
The flight attendant believed her refusal to accept Musk's proposal hurt her chances of working at SpaceX, according to Business Insider.
Business Insider said the rocket company settled out of court and included a nondisclosure agreement. Both the friend and flight attendant were unnamed.
Musk says he won't vote for Democrats.
