Tuesday, the national charity for mentoring young people said that MacKenzie Scott gave $122.6 million to the group
The contribution is the latest from the wealthy author to huge national NGOs with local chapters nationwide
Scott has donated $12.5 billion to 1,253 NGOs since 2020, many of which support low-income and underprivileged people.
Her latest nine-figure donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters followed three others in March
So far in 2022, Scott has contributed at least $1.5 billion, according to 30 organisations
The donation is unrestricted, so the charity can use it for programmes, operations, or anything else
CEO Stevens said the group will spend Scott's contribution in its national office in Tampa, Florida, and 38 of its 230 chapters nationwide
The charity will provide additional group mentoring, peer-to-peer mentoring, and job mentorship for 18- to 25-year-olds.
