A Virginia jury ruled that Amber Heard defamed her ex-husband Johnny Depp in a magazine article.
The jury gave Depp compensation damages of $10 million and punitive damages of $5 million.
The jury ruled Heard's marital statements "false" and her actions "malicious."
In Virginia's Fairfax County Circuit Court, the decision was read out loud.
Depp sued Heard for $50 million, claiming she defamed him by calling herself "a public figure symbolising domestic abuse."
Heard sued Depp for $100 million, claiming he maligned her by calling her allegations a "hoax."
The jury decided that Heard's claims that Depp slandered her were not true.
Depp's punitive damages were cut to $350,000 to comply with Virginia law, meaning he will receive $10.35m total.
