Americans will receive $750 in direct payments within a few weeks, but the deadline to apply is approaching quickly.
Beginning on June 1, Connecticut households were allowed to qualify for child tax credit payments of up to $750.
The credit is worth $250 per qualified child, and up to three children can get benefits.
Eligible families can apply on the Department of Revenue Service site by choosing "2022 CT Child Tax Rebate." Applications must be submitted by July 31.
The 2022 Connecticut Child Tax Rebate was signed into law on May 9 after the state earned a $ 4 billion budget surplus and opted to return some of that money to taxpayers.
Gov. Lamont expects payments in August and wants "all eligible Connecticut families to submit an application"
To qualify, you must be a Connecticut resident and have listed at least one 18-year-old or younger child as a dependent on your 2021 tax return.
While the federal child tax credit is ended, families can seek help from state programmes.
