A Macomb County man recently won a Lucky For Life jackpot from the Michigan Lottery using family birthdates.
John Cichowlas of Chesterfield Township matched the five white balls chosen May 22 — 07-11-25-31-46 — to win $25,000 a year for life. He won at MichiganLottery.com.
Cichowlas said he bought the ticket after returning from his son's baseball tournament. "I couldn't believe it when I checked in and matched five digits."
55-year-old Cichowlas claimed his Lottery win. He chose a $390,000 lump amount over $25,000 annuities for 20 years or life.
Cichowlas intends to invest the remaining of his money after paying some bills.
"Winning changes my life and my family's," stated Cichowlas. It implies we can pay bills faster and be more comfortable.
Lucky For Life costs $2 every play and offers $3 to a lifetime of cash. To win $1,000 a day for life, players must match all five winning numbers (1-48) and one Lucky Ball (1-18).
All five winning numbers, but not the Lucky Ball, win $25,000 a year for life. Draws are at 10:38 p.m. everyday.
