Americans Can Apply For $750 Direct Rebate Payments

The new child tax credit is a part of Connecticut's budget bill, which was recently signed into law by Governor Ned Lamont.

Eligible families can now apply through the Department of Revenue Service portal by clicking on “2022 CT Child Tax Rebate.”

Gov. Lamont expects payments to be made in late August, around the start of the school year.

"I strongly urge all eligible Connecticut families to submit an application," Lamont stated.

Governor Ned Lamont recently signed the new child tax credit into law as part of Connecticut’s budget bill.

Families who qualify will receive a $250 rebate per child, up to $750. Apply by June 1.

Payments will be made in late August, at the start of the school year, according to Governor Lamont.
