Elden Ring has already dominated the gaming arena since its launch on February 25, and at least on Steam, it’s only getting more and more popular.

per SteamDB dataSince its release, Elden Ring has achieved a record peak number of concurrent users every day. Over 764,000 played Elden Ring on February 25, followed by over 861,000 the next day, and over 891,000 the next.

The Elden Ring’s peak concurrent users is 891,638, which places it at number seven on the all-time list behind New World, Cyberpunk 2077, Dota 2, Counter-Strike: GO, Lost Ark, and PUBG: Battlegrounds at number one.

But it is fast approaching sixth place. Elden Ring currently has 21,996 concurrent users peaking behind New World, which means if the trend continues and more people play it today, February 28, it could move up the list. This can be a tough job to spot – weekdays tend to have lower player numbers than weekends – but it’s increasingly likely to fall off.

Elden Ring is currently one of the best-reviewed games in recent history with 97 games on Metacritic, placing it alongside The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Grand Theft Auto V, Metroid Prime, and more.

In our 10/10 review, IGN said: “The Elden Ring is a massive iteration of what FromSoftware started with the Souls series, bringing its relentlessly challenging battles into a stunning open world that gives us the freedom to choose our own path.”
